New to Shopify? Set Up A Shopify Account Step By Step Today

Introduction

Shopify is an eCommerce platform that allows you to manage your business online. It takes a very short time by following simple steps to get your Shopify Set Up. Upon setting up, you’re given 14 days free trial. It also involves selling physical products by using the Shopify point of sale. The following are simplified steps to enable you to start a Shopify account.

Choose an industry

Selecting the category of products to deal in is a key determinant of your success. All goods and services you may think about are having ready market. It is wise to see if the industry you want to deal in would be relevant in Shopify. Again business is competition, any category can work as you continue putting in more effort.

Ensure you’re passionate and knowledgeable about the industry you choose. It is easy to handle something you are well informed about than a new and unique one. Identify your market size and be certain that it will enable your stock to move. Predict the future trends for flexibility and adapt to new changes. Work on one industry at a time.

Set a domain name

A domain name is a name that the worldwide web uses to identify and recognize your website. It is recommended to set a domain name the same as the website. This will attract traffics to your account easily. Shopify has made it easy; if ABCDE is your business name, the domain automatically becomes ABCDE.shopify.com.

It is time to sign up

This is a catchy part everybody must be waiting for. Shopify sign-up only happens once you already have a working email and ready domain. Shopify comes with three plans. However, you can sign up for the 14-day free trial to see if it is working out. On the Shopify homepage, there is a space to enter your email. Enter a correct email and click on a free trial. On the next page, enter your favorite password followed by your store name(these are the credential to use during login). If the store name already exists, select another name and click create your store. The page which appears next is your dashboard.

Select a theme for your store.

Shopify has only three free themes, you are at liberty to buy the premium themes. Only buy vetted themes from the Shopify marketplace. Decide on the theme features that best suit your industry. When done, click on the online store followed by themes. If the themes which appear are not appealing, scroll down until you see Free themes and Shopify theme store. Click on the Shopify theme store and select as you scroll down, then add to the library. The system will navigate you to the dashboard, and click on supply theme. Click on the Action menu and select publish. On the next screen, click on publish again. Your theme will now be ready.

Build assets

This is a very important part of the Shopify Set Up. Assets include images, videos, pages, and blogs. You will need to upload photos and videos of your products. Similarly, you will need to set the terms and conditions, FAQ, Privacy policy, About us, and probably a blog to advertise your store.

Build standard pages

You will now need to upload your products and build for their pages. On the dashboard, click on pages, followed by adding a page. Fill in the spaces suitably concerning your product. You are also provided by the text editors. You can then click on save.

Upload your collections

A collection involves only similar products. On the dashboard, click on products followed by create collection. Add title and description and save.

Set the payments methods

We are almost done!  On the dashboard, click on settings and then payments. Paypal appears as default, but on scrolling down, you will see other options. Choose the payment method you want and click it. Input your API. Your Shopify Set Up is done.

Conclusion

Creating a Shopify store is somehow tiresome, but for a determined mind, it is easy and simple. It is important to note that this is a procedural step and must be keenly followed. Up to that point, your Shopify account is complete.
