Clock Tower
Use your fretwork
skills to produce clocks of showpiece quality! This magnificent clock stands
40 inches high. Full-size patterns and detailed floor plans show you how to
build this beauty from the ground floor up. 20 inches W x 40 inches H x 11
inches D. Suggested components: 2560 chime or 2505 movement, 3600 dial and
8903 hands.
Out of Plywood:
-6sheets of 1/4in
-2sheets of 3/16in
-2sheets of 1/8in
-For floors and base assembly would require 6 sheets of 1/4in but we
really recommend purchasing from a lumber yard thicker, 1/2in-3/4in plywood.
Out of Hardwood:
-The plan calls for parts made of 1/4in and/or 3/16in thick wood. We have
substituted 1/4in for all these boards because this is what we carry. This
will not affect the construction. Just be sure all the pieces fit before
scroll sawing and assembly.
-1/4in Thick Material:
--6 4in wide boards
--7 6in wide boards (includes 3 boards for base of clock...plywood can be
substituted for this part)
--2 8in wide boards (or any glued up combination, i.e. two 4inboards)
--1 10in wide board
-1/8in Thick Material:
--1 6in wide board
-For the floor and base assembly you can use 1/4in but we recommend
thicker wood, such as 1/2in thick.
--2 6in wide boards
--1 8in wide board
--2 12in wide boards
