Many times in a small home-based craft shop
or garage it is necessary to lay out angles, and a
protractor or compass is not always handy. The face of a
clock contains a complete circle divided into 12 (hours).
Naturally there would be 360 degrees in each hour, or six
degrees in each minute. To lay out a 30 degree angle, it
would simply be the angle made by the minute hand on 12 and
the hour hand on one, or one o'clock. A 90-degree angle
would be 3 o'clock, and so on.
